As a Drummer/Percussionist, Dave (1z) Wonsey’s performance career started when he was 13 years old, and has grown to cover a variety of styles including Jazz & Rock Drumset, Orchestral Percussion, Hand Drums/World Percussion, and Rudimental Snare Drum for Bagpipe Bands. Now living in Connecticut, Dave has played across the United States, Canada & Europe.  From small clubs to Carnegie Hall, from street parades to The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, from Town Hall to Symphony Space, Dave continues to perform at a variety of venues.   >> read more

Synergy Drum Circles is Dave Wonsey’s trademark business. He has been facilitating drum circles since 1996, ranging in size from 10 to over 250 people. These events take place at a variety of venues including Hospitals, Churches, Community & Senior Centers, Public & Private Schools, Colleges, Universities, Summer Camps, and Elderhostels.  Since 2004, Dave continues to host a monthly drum circle at New Milford Hospital for cancer survivors & their caregivers.

YesNow Music was started in 2007, but Dave has engineered and/or produced hundreds of records and CDs, for both music and spoken word lectures since 1985. Dave began teaching while still in High School, at the School of Scottish Arts. Dave’s students range in age from Kindergarten to College to Adult Education to Senior Center workshops. Dave is assistant professor at Norwalk Community College, and adjunct professor at Kent School, & Wooster School.  Formerly teaching at Fordham University and Marymount College, he also teaches numerous private students, and several bagpipe band drum lines. He also teaches seminars, summer camps, and festivals all over the country, including master classes at the Manhattan School of Music and the Juilliard School.   >> read more
